Week one of thirteen down. Twelve weeks to go. I love it here in Nome, and my friends here are awesome. But I really cannot wait for march when my assignment will draw to an end so I can start looking for a new place to travel to.
Coming back to work after 5 weeks off was like getting back on the bike... Fun in the Sound never sleeps...
I am hoping to got to Maryland, so I can indulge in my love of museums and explore DC. I have friends there, so I would have good company and assistance with the touristy stuff.
I get paid in 2 weeks with a full paycheck and I will be commencing the school process. I am excited, because I am hoping to be finished by the end of the year. I'll keep you all posted. I am just ready to tackle 2009 with as much punch as I can.
I haven't received the call yet, but my friends Missy and Doug (also neighbors) are switching apartments here in the 14 Plex, and I am going to help them today. There is a small shed of hope tat I can move into the apartment across from them and out of the one I am in now. That would make the rest of of my time here alot better. So, we'll see.

Oh, so they put you back in the on unit you were in before...sorry...will keep my fingers crossed that they will allow you to move to a different unit.
