sad repost from my other blog :( R.I.P. Anheuser-Busch

AB was bought out. I am speechless, as I can't think of anything to say.
Read this ARTICLE.

AB IS St. Louis. It has been for over 140 years. No more. I feel right now like someone just killed my dog. I know it sounds immature to say such a thing about a beer company buy-out, but I am a St. Louisan. I may not have my address there permanently for the meantime, but I will always be a St. Louisan until the day I die. Anheuser-Busch has been such a HUGE part of the St. Louis economy, and a staple of the culture, that now that it no longer belongs to my city, yes, MY CITY, I feel like someone just killed my dog.

St. Louis is probably the most proud city I have ever known. Our free attractions, the Arch, our sports teams, our parks, our community. They are all something to boast about, and now, our most likely biggest asset, has been ripped away from us.

R.I.P. Anheuser-Busch.

Even though I am no longer a STL resident, I to feel like someone shot my dog....and I don't even have a dog!
