This is for anyone who lives, or has lived in Alaska that has had to answer a question from the uneducated public...

This goes along with when people ask me how it can be light for 6 months and dark for 6 months. I just gave up on the answer that deals with laws of astrophysics. My new and forever answer is this: yeah, one day the sky gets dark, and then God flips on the light switch 6 months later.

The following media was found and posted by my friend Mary Beth. I must thank you for this gem.

is there walmart in alaska?

Wal-Mart? What is that? I have seen pictures of stores and buildings, but we only have ice houses called igloos. Also, please tell us about these fancy automobile thingies. I hear they go faster than the dog teams we use to commute with.
Do you have to clean up poop from cars too?
Which end do you feed?
Hold on, my polar bear can’t find his squeaky toy…

You know that thing about "Is there a Wal Mart in Alaska", even though it's been a while since I found it, it still makes me laugh!
Another one I love...How many kinds of penguins are there in Alaska?
